I already mentioned here on the blog I’m gonna write more about good affordable lunch options in Downtown Toronto. Here you can read my post about Wilbur Mexicana.
I believe pizza is the most democratic food as almost everybody enjoys it. And there are definitely options for all tastes. But what about building your own pizza?
At Pi Co. you can choose the toppings and mount your own pizza. And don’t worry, I won’t be judging if you choose pineapple pieces. Ok, just a little, lol.
If you’re not feeling creative, you can order a pre-mounted pizza such as the traditional marguerita ($12). But the most fun option is definitely to build your own ($14).
You start choosing between Neapolitan dough or gluten free dough (+ $4), one of their 6 sauces, a type of cheese (or more) and a variety of toppings, including classics such as pepperoni and not-so-classic such as sliced turkey.
I chose sundried tomatoes, garlic, mushrooms, pepperoni and arugula.
The best part is, as you can choose different toppings everyday, you can eat there several times a week. It can seem exaggerated but let me remind you there are few places in Downtown Toronto where you can sit to eat a meal for such a price.
I had lunch at their Spadina & Camden location some weeks ago, but there are some other places where you can find them.
