I grew up in a small town of a third world country. I still get surprised when I hear about traditional family recipes with a lot of ingredients, especially a lot of seasoning. In my family the food never varied so much and the seasonings were pretty much the same everyday. We never had access to different ingredients.
Maybe that’s why now, as an adult, I love to try new flavours, research different cuisines and prepare dishes I’ve never known before. But sometimes, I like to come back to my origins, and definitely one of the dishes I will treasure for life is my mom’s version of hot dogs.
I was wondering if I should share this recipe because you may think it’s too simple to be a “family dish”, but maybe you can prepare it on a day you don’t have too much time and then you’re gonna spend your time eating it with the ones you love and… someday, someone will treasure that moment as well.
You don’t need much to prepare and I guarantee, at least the children, will gonna love it!
