I love Fox on John‘s food. So imagine how happy I was when they invited me to taste their new spring menu!
Unfortunately, my stomach is not big enough to eat all they offer on their menu, however hubby and I had a great experience with what we selected.
I need to start mentioning their Fried Ricotta Balls (Fried secret crust ricotta. Served with house-made marinara sauce). I didn’t even know that existed and now it’s one of my favourite appetizers! It’s crispy outside and soft inside. We taste the ricotta with some “mysterious” seasoning.
As a starter we also tasted the Quinoa Crunch salad (with quinoa, tofu, spinach, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, toasted almonds, honey lime dressing). It’s perfect if you’re on a diet but don’t wanna give up on rich flavours.
Hubby had the Pulled Pork Taco (Slow roasted pulled pork, apple slaw, Buffalo ranch sauce) and said it’s now one of his favourites in town.
I had Shrimp Arrabiata Pasta (made with chilli flake, shrimp, white wine, tomato sauce, tossed spaghetti) and loved it! It’s very spicy (as I like) but you still can enjoy the shrimp’s taste.
How do we end something like that? With a Chocolate Almond Brownie! Imagine a flourless chocolate brownie with toasted almonds, whipped cream and chocolate syrup. I know, I don’t have to explain it.
