Last Saturday we went to Peter Pan Bistro for brunch and now we want to go back for dinner because I believe it must be an amazing experience.
We discovered it by luck as we were walking on Queen St W looking for a place to have our breakfast. My husband saw the facade and thought it would be a good choice. I read the name and got confused on what to expect from the inside. Now I’m glad we entered.
The place is beautiful and the food … omg, let me tell you about the food … it was amazing!
I ordered the Croque Madame ($ 18) which is a toast topped with ham, gruyere, bechamel sauce and duck egg. To accompany (as if you need to) come french fries and green salad.
I don’t remember when was the last time I couldn’t eat the entire dish I ordered. You know when you can’t take food anymore, but you don’t want to stop eating? Like that. I was pinching the gruyere, eating some potato there … because I didn’t want to waste it, lol.
Cris ordered the same (he copied me, okay?).
We went there around 10 am and could get a table right away. Actually it was so empty we could choose almost any table in the restaurant. But after 10:30 am the place started to get busy and at 11 am people had to wait on a line to get seated. So, my tip is: go early!
